Héritage de Le Boscq is the second wine of Château Le Boscq, a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel estate in the prestigious Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, France. Produced by Dourthe, the wine is crafted from a blend of approximately 62% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and aged on fine lees for 12 months.
The wine displays a deep purple color with bluish hints. On the nose, generous aromas of Morello cherry evolve into wild berries, orange peel, and floral notes. The palate is rich and full-bodied with fine, supple tannins, notes of toasted almonds, and delicate oaky hints. It is approachable upon release and built to enjoy within the first 8 to 15 years. Rated 91 points by James Suckling.
Pairs well with lamb, grilled red meats, roasted veal, and aged cheeses.
