Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced exclusively from the legendary To Kalon Vineyard in the Oakville appellation of Napa Valley, California. To Kalon — meaning "the beautiful" in Greek — is one of the most celebrated vineyard sites in North America, originally planted in 1868, known for its well-drained benchland soils, optimal sun exposure, and consistently producing fruit of extraordinary depth and complexity.

This flagship reserve wine is a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, carefully selected from the finest lots of the vintage. The wine is aged for approximately 18–20 months in 100% new French oak barrels, contributing layers of spice, structure, and seamless integration. It expresses aromas of fresh blackberry, black plum, dark chocolate, dried herbs, violets, and hints of graphite, with an elegant, full-bodied palate featuring velvety tannins and a long, refined finish.
