Château Siran 2019 is a red Bordeaux wine from the prestigious Margaux appellation in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, France. Classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, Château Siran has a distinguished history dating back centuries on the left bank of the Gironde estuary. The 2019 vintage is considered an exceptional year for Bordeaux, delivering concentrated, age-worthy wines with remarkable balance.
The wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, with the Petit Verdot contributing a characteristic spicy complexity that defines Siran's house style. The 2019 shows rich aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and dark cherry with hints of violet, toasted oak, chocolate, and anise. On the palate it is full-bodied and plush with soft, velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, layered finish. Critics have scored it in the 92–94 point range, with James Suckling awarding 94 points and Wine Spectator 92 points.
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, duck confit, aged cheeses, and grilled beef. It can be enjoyed now or cellared for 10–15 years to allow further development of complexity. Serve at 61–65°F (16–18°C) for optimal expression. Each case contains 12 bottles of 750ml.
