Gruet Sauvage Blanc de Blancs is a bone-dry sparkling wine produced by Gruet Winery, a family-owned estate founded in 1984 in New Mexico. Crafted using the traditional Méthode Champenoise with secondary fermentation in the bottle, this non-vintage blanc de blancs is made from hand-harvested Chardonnay sourced from New Mexico and California vineyards.
The wine is aged on its lees for approximately three years, yielding a pale straw color with a delicate, persistent mousse. Aromas and flavors feature bright mineral and citrus notes with touches of green apple, lemon, and grapefruit, followed by a structured, refreshing finish. With zero dosage and approximately 12% ABV, this wine is crisp, dry, and mouthwatering on the palate. It has earned 92 Points GOLD at the Sunset International Wine Competition and received praise from James Suckling for its fresh, lemon-forward profile.
Sauvage pairs exceptionally well with oysters, sushi, seafood, and cream-based dishes. Serve well chilled at 40–45°F.
