Château Le Boscq is a prestigious red Bordeaux blend from the Saint-Estèphe appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France. Produced by the esteemed négociant Dourthe, this Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel (classified 2020) estate sits ideally situated next to the Gironde estuary on a magnificent terroir. Each bottle contains 750ml of wine.
The blend is led by Merlot (approximately 52%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (39%), rounded out with Petit Verdot (7%) and Cabernet Franc (2%). This composition harmoniously balances the power and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot with the softer, fruitier character of Merlot. The wine presents a deep, ruby-purple color and an aromatic bouquet of black fruits, spices, licorice, precious wood, and violets. On the palate it is ample, full-bodied, and fleshy, with velvety tannins and a long, balanced finish that reflects the classic Saint-Estèphe terroir.
Château Le Boscq consistently earns strong critical scores — 90–95 points across reviewers including James Suckling, Decanter, Jeb Dunnuck, and Vinous. It is best enjoyed within the first 8–15 years of life and pairs beautifully with red meats such as rack of lamb, roast beef, and grilled steak, as well as mature French cheeses.
