Château Tour Saint-Christophe is a prestigious Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate located in the commune of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes in Bordeaux, France. Owned by Peter Kwok and managed by his daughter Karen Kwok, the estate was acquired in 2012 and has since been transformed into one of the most acclaimed and value-driven properties on Bordeaux's Right Bank. This 6-liter format (equivalent to 8 standard bottles) is ideal for large gatherings, cellaring, or as a collector's statement piece.
The wine is a classic Bordeaux blend composed of approximately 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, sourced from 20 hectares of clay and limestone soils. Vineyard management follows organic and biodynamic principles, with vines planted at densities up to 8,000 vines per hectare. Half the wine is vinified using micro-vinification techniques in 60% new French oak barrels, with malolactic fermentation in barrel and aging for approximately 18 months before bottling. Renowned consulting winemaker Michel Rolland oversees the winemaking process. The château achieved Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé status in 2022.
Tasting notes across multiple vintages describe a wine of dark, inky color with aromas of black cherries, plums, licorice, espresso, dark chocolate, smoke, and crushed stone. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich, and lush with layers of red and black fruits, polished tannins, and a long, spice-tinged finish. Best enjoyed with 5–8 years of bottle age, reaching peak maturity between 6–22 years. Pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, duck, game, and aged cheeses. Decant young vintages for 1–3 hours before serving at approximately 60°F (15.5°C).
