Roberto Voerzio Barolo del Comune di La Morra DOCG is a prestige red wine from the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, produced entirely from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Roberto Voerzio, based in the village of La Morra, has cultivated his craft since his youth alongside his father and grandfather, becoming one of the most celebrated producers of modern Barolo. This wine represents his entry-level Barolo, blending fruit from 50% Voerzio estate crus and 50% Boiolo, with rigorous yield control of just 1kg harvested per vine. The wine is aged 12 months in Tonneaux barriques.
The wine pours a deep, elegant garnet red. The nose is complex and aromatic, offering notes of cherry, rose petals, wild berry jam, sweet spices, dried rose petals, cedar, light plums, and violet. On the palate it is rich, robust, and structured with a tight yet balanced mouthfeel and a long, refined finish. At 14.0% ABV, it pairs beautifully with braised meats such as Brasato al Barolo and aged hard cheeses. The wine is made with minimal intervention and natural fermentation, reflecting a sustainable approach in the vineyard.
