Domaine Eric Boigelot Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots" is a premier cru red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, France. The 'Santenots' vineyard lies within the borders of Meursault but is almost exclusively planted to Pinot Noir, which earns it the Volnay appellation. The vineyard faces southeast on a gradual slope with soils rich in clay and limestone, producing wines of depth and complexity.
The domaine has been family-owned since 1918, now in its fourth generation under winemaker Charles Boigelot, who took over from his father Eric in 2022. The estate farms its 22 acres in Monthelie, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard sustainably, holding HVE3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification. All grapes are harvested by hand in small crates, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged in French oak barrels before bottling. The result is an elegant, cellar-worthy Pinot Noir with red berry character, silky texture, and a mineral backbone — considered one of the grand terroirs of Volnay. Sold in cases of 6 x 750ML bottles.
