Celler Vall Llach Vi de Vila is a prestigious red wine from the Porrera village in the DOQ Priorat appellation of Catalonia, Spain. Priorat is one of Spain's most celebrated wine regions, renowned for its ancient slate-rich "llicorella" soils that impart a distinctive mineral character to the wines produced there.

This red blend is built primarily on old-vine Carignan (approximately 75-85%), sourced from century-old vines in the historic village of Porrera, complemented by Grenache. The wine reflects the winery's commitment to minimal intervention, using native yeast fermentation, hand-harvested organically-grown fruit, and sustainable biodynamic practices. Aging takes place in a combination of French oak barrels, concrete tanks, and stone and clay egg vessels, preserving the wine's terroir expression.

On the nose, the wine offers dark cherry, plum, and black fruit aromas with saline, slate, and subtle chocolate notes. The palate is structured with firm, fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long finish marked by mineral, clay, and forest floor complexity. The wine is consistently awarded 93+ points by critics and is best enjoyed with 30 minutes of decanting. It is well-suited for cellaring and pairs beautifully with lamb, game meats, aged cheeses, and hearty Mediterranean dishes.
