Château de Fieuzal is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves red wine from the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation in Bordeaux, France. The blend is composed of approximately 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, grown on 42 hectares of gravel and sandy clay-limestone soils.
The wine is aged 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels, with 50% new oak. It presents an intense red color with purple reflections and expressive aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and black cherry, complemented by spicy and graphite notes characteristic of the Graves terroir. On the palate, it offers a dense attack with fine, elegant tannins and a silky structure with nice tension on the finish. Alcohol content is approximately 12.5%.
Château de Fieuzal was classified in the 1953 Graves Classification and has been owned by Brenda and Lochlann Quinn since 2001. The wine has an aging potential of 18 to 25 years depending on the vintage. It pairs well with beef, lamb, poultry, and game.
