Château Pichon Longueville Baron is one of Bordeaux's most celebrated estates, classified as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé (Second Growth) in the historic 1855 Bordeaux classification. Located in the prestigious Pauillac appellation on the Left Bank of the Médoc, the château is renowned for its stunning architecture — slender turrets reflected in a mirror of water — and for producing wines that embody the finest expression of Pauillac.
The vineyard covers 73 hectares planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), complemented by Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (3%), and Petit Verdot (2%). The wines are aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 80% of which are new. This 3-liter double-magnum format is an exceptional presentation for collectors and special occasions, allowing the wine to age with remarkable grace over decades.
Château Pichon Longueville Baron consistently delivers wines of great structure and depth, combining the classic Pauillac character of ripe black currant, cedar, and tobacco with a refined elegance and long, complex finish. The estate has been producing a second wine, Les Tourelles de Longueville, since 1983, and Les Griffons de Pichon Baron since 2012.
