Proelio Viñedos Viejos is a 100% Garnacha red wine from the Rioja DOCa appellation in Spain. Produced by Bodegas Proelio, part of the Palacios Vinos de Finca family, this wine is crafted from 80-year-old vines and very old clones grown in small vineyards in the Alto Najerilla region of Rioja Alta, specifically in the municipalities of Cárdenas and Badarán, at altitudes between 600 and 700 metres above sea level.

The grapes are cultivated in clay-ferrous soils that impart distinctive dark fruit characteristics. The wine is aged in large oak vats for one year, resulting in a structured, complex, and aromatic red laden with dark fruit notes. On the palate it is unctuous, silky, and complex with sleek tannins, bright acidity, and a long fresh finish. Aromas include redcurrants, pomegranate, wild strawberries, thyme, lavender, and lemon grass. Alcohol content is 14-14.5% ABV.
