Domaine Cordier Saint-Véran is a classic white Burgundy produced by the renowned Domaine Cordier estate in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy, France. Saint-Véran is an appellation dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay, and Domaine Cordier's expression showcases the elegance and terroir-driven character that has made this producer a standout in the region. The "En Faux" designation refers to a specific lieu-dit (named vineyard site) within the Saint-Véran appellation.
This Chardonnay presents a bright golden-yellow color with aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and subtle mineral notes characteristic of the limestone soils of Saint-Véran. On the palate, it offers a balance of fresh acidity and gentle roundness, with flavors of ripe apple, pear, and a touch of toasted hazelnut from restrained oak influence. The finish is clean and persistent.
Saint-Véran sits adjacent to Pouilly-Fuissé and offers a comparable style at an exceptional value. This wine pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled fish, soft cheeses, and light poultry dishes. Serve chilled at 50–54°F (10–12°C). 750ML bottle.
