Jean-Marie Fourrier Pommard 1er Cru is a prestigious red Burgundy wine from the Côte de Beaune in France's renowned Burgundy region. Produced by Domaine Jean-Marie Fourrier, a highly respected producer based in Gevrey-Chambertin, this Premier Cru wine comes from the Pommard appellation, one of Burgundy's most celebrated villages known for producing full-bodied, structured Pinot Noir.
Pommard 1er Cru wines from Fourrier are sourced from the "Vigne Comte de Chapelle" holdings, which include prized Premier Cru vineyards such as Les Saussilles, Les Arvelets, and Les Rugiens. The wine is crafted from old-vine Pinot Noir grapes and reflects Fourrier's commitment to minimal intervention winemaking that preserves terroir expression.
The wine is characterized by deep ruby color, aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and earthy minerality, with silky tannins and a long, elegant finish. It is well-suited for cellaring and pairs beautifully with roasted meats, duck, game, and aged cheeses. This 750mL bottle is sold as part of a 6-bottle case.
