Poggio al Tesoro "Solosole" is a 100% Vermentino white wine from the prestigious Bolgheri DOC appellation on the Tyrrhenian coast of Tuscany, Italy. The estate was established in 2002 by Marilisa and Walter Allegrini, extending the celebrated Allegrini winemaking family's expertise to this sun-drenched coastal terroir. The name "Solosole" — meaning "just sunshine" in Italian — captures the wine's spirit and its deep connection to the Mediterranean sun and the Bolgheri landscape. Vermentino clones were sourced from Corsica and are ideally suited to the region's coastal microclimate.

Grapes are harvested by hand at night to preserve aromatic freshness, then soft-pressed with a short pre-fermentative maceration. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with no malolactic fermentation, maintaining the wine's natural acidity and vibrancy. The wine is aged on fine lees in stainless steel before one month of bottle aging prior to release.

Solosole pours a golden yellow with greenish hues. On the nose it offers stone fruits — peach and apricot — alongside flint-like mineral notes, raw almonds, daffodil, and bright citrus. On the palate it is medium-bodied, clean, and crisp with flavors of nectarine, grapefruit, and light mineral notes, finishing long and dry. Each bottle contains 750ml and is sold as a case of 12.
