Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte is one of the most emblematic wines from this historic Douro estate, a super-premium single-vineyard red blend produced only in years of exceptional quality. It takes its name from a centenary plot of vines at Quinta do Crasto — some over a hundred years old — which yield deeply colored, intensely concentrated fruit. Due to the extremely low yields of these ancient vines, production rarely exceeds 4,000 bottles per vintage.

The grapes are foot-trodden in traditional stone lagares and the wine is aged for 20 months in French oak barrels under strictly controlled temperature and humidity. The result is a wine with rich, intense aromas of ripe fruit elegantly balanced over oak, with a powerful yet refined palate and a long, persistent finish that rewards extended cellaring. It has only been produced in exceptional vintages: 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019.

This wine has received consistent critical acclaim across major publications, including 97 points from Wine Spectator, 97 points from Decanter, and 96+ points from Wine Advocate/Robert Parker for multiple vintages.
