Marco Bonfante Barbaresco DOCG is a premium Italian red wine from the Piedmont region, crafted by the Marco Bonfante winery in Nizza Monferrato. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in bluish calcareous clay marl soil with a vineyard density of 5,200 plants per hectare, the grapes are harvested in the first half of October.
The wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels, split between large oak barrels and tonneaux, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle refinement. Barbaresco DOCG is renowned for its elegance and pleasantness, offering spiced and velvety aromas that are captivating on both the nose and palate, with a long gustatory persistence. The 2021 vintage received 91 points from Falstaff.
