Paquera Mezcal Barril is a premium artesanal mezcal from San Miguel Ejutla, Oaxaca, Mexico, made from 100% Barril agave (Agave karwinskii var.). This expression represents Paquera's smokiest offering, produced by a cooperative of five farming families using fully traditional methods.

The Barril agave plants are matured for approximately 14 years before harvest. The agave hearts are roasted in underground pit ovens, then crushed using a horse-drawn tahona mill. Fermentation takes place in locally-made awewete wood barrels, followed by double distillation in small copper pot stills. No additives are used and the spirit is gluten-free.

On the nose, the mezcal presents floral and smoke aromas. The palate is earthy, tangy, and spicy with orchard fruit, vanilla, and citrus zest, leading into a lengthy, silky finish. Bottled at 42.5% ABV (85 proof), this is a sustainably produced, cooperative-made spirit that supports local farming communities in Oaxaca.
