Domaine Vigne Comte de Chapelle Beaune "Les Grèves" 1er Cru is a rare, small-production Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations. The estate's parcel in Les Grèves is planted with old vines dating back to 1942, cultivated on just 0.18 hectares, yielding only around 1,140 bottles per vintage. The domaine is overseen by Jean-Marie Fourrier, whose team grows and vinifies the wine in Gevrey-Chambertin with a focus on minimal intervention and terroir expression.
This Beaune Premier Cru displays a deep scarlet color of captivating intensity. The nose offers a complex bouquet of black fruits — blackberry and blackcurrant — alongside red fruits such as cherry and redcurrant, with supporting notes of spice, potpourri, and a subtle hint of orange zest. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with silky, well-integrated tannins that balance fullness and elegance, finishing with refined length and finesse.
Vinification is carried out with care and restraint, using measured aging to preserve the natural expression of the terroir. This wine pairs well with veal, duck confit, and mature cheeses.
