Château de Saint-Pey is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from the right bank of Bordeaux, France, produced at a 25-hectare estate in the village of Saint-Pey d'Armens. The wine is a classic Bordeaux red blend composed of approximately 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from clay-limestone soils with vines averaging 30 years of age.
Grapes are harvested mechanically and fermented in a combination of barrels and concrete tanks. The wine is aged with approximately 50% new oak barrels, yielding a structured yet approachable style. The estate produces around 90,000 bottles annually and exports to markets across Europe and Asia.
On the palate, Château de Saint-Pey delivers an expressive nose of fresh red fruits including cherry and blueberry, supported by well-integrated oak and a hint of vanilla. The palate shows a frank, silky attack with fine tannins and a fruity, aromatic finish. Best enjoyed from 2024 through 2037 depending on the vintage. Serve at 16–18°C and pair with roasted meats, lamb, duck, or aged cheeses.
