Domini de la Cartoixa Galena Red Blend Priorat, Spain 750ml

Domini de la Cartoixa Galena is an organically grown red wine blend from the prestigious Priorat DOCa appellation in Catalonia, Spain, produced by Domini de la Cartoixa. Priorat is one of only two Spanish wine regions to hold the highest DOCa classification, renowned for its dramatic slate and quartz soils (known as llicorella) that impart a distinctive mineral character.

The Galena is crafted from a blend of Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cariñena, sourced from 14 certified organic parcels. Grapes from each parcel are vinified separately to preserve individual terroir expression before blending. The wine ages for approximately one year in a mix of French and American oak barrels.

It presents an intense, near-opaque cherry color with a highly complex, elegant nose dominated by ripe dark fruit, black spices, and balsamic notes underscored by the region's signature mineral and stony character. On the palate it is rich, full-bodied, and voluminous with a long, spicy finish. The wine benefits from 45 minutes of decanting or several years of additional cellaring.
